DAYS OUT

Scotland's most famous village

Gretna Green is, of course, famous for weddings, so no visit to this most famous of villages would be complete without taking in The Gretna Green Story Exhibition which tells how the village became a marriage hotspot for eloping English couples. You can also see the famous anvil. The Gretna Green Sculpture Garden, opened by actress Britt Ekland in 1994, features works by amateur and professional artists celebrating romance and love. Also a short walk from Greenlaw is the Gretna Outlet Village, perfect for a spot of retail therapy!
